Pouladuff Road Entrance Gates

The brief for this set of gates from the client, who is a marine engineer by trade, was that they should be ocean themed.

After some back and forth with design ideas we settled on a wave motif. ‍With this design we wanted to invoke a sense of the flow of a crashing wave, this was achieved with the organically formed horizontal bars which culminated in a form of blown over set of scrolls at the top of the back stile on the right hand leaf. To further capture the idea of the ocean we broke up the horizontal bars with inset panels of textured stainless steel the surface of which was not unlike ripples on the surface of the sea. ‍

The gate was galvanised and finished with a T-wash solution dulling down the bright silver of the galvanising.
